Brick industry in Mesuji District continues to grow today. With the increasing demand of bricks, is directly proportional to the amount of demand for bricks. The solution in question is to provide loan assistance to a group of brick molding machine brick craftsmen. By using the brick molding machine will be able to produce up to 15,000 bricks per day, far more than the traditional production.

Not only have that, the District Government Mesuji also innovated to use chemicals in the production process. These chemicals serve to accelerate the drying of the bricks that have been printed by the printing press bricks. If the combustion process takes up to 25 days, then the chemical liquids only takes about 10 days. The use of chemicals is also intended to reduce the use of firewood that is used for burning bricks, making it more environmentally friendly.

Chairman of the Association of Craftsmen Roof Tile Sembada Manunggal Sukiman said the number of roof tile artisans in the region Sidorejo about 85 craftsmen from total 358 existing roof tile craftsman in Godean. Sukiman hope that the Government of Sleman prohibit roof tile production with raw materials from outside the area of Sleman in order to keep the quality and roof tile production marketed corresponding region of origin.
