Lobar Tile Industry Grows Fast: http://lombokbaratkab.go.id/component/content/article/158-industri-genteng-lobar-tumbuh-pesat.html/30 September 2011

The tile industry in West Lombok (Lobar) in recent months has been growing quite rapidly. This is due to the increasing number of artisans who cultivate the business. The number of craftsmen tiles has reached 300 to 400 people. The tile business has good prospects; moreover the District Government continues to provide support for developing this industry.

This industry is growing due to ever increasing consumer confidence in the products. The quality of tiles produced by the craftsmen is also very good. Yet the price offered is also quite cheap. It's little wonder that the resulting tile craftsmen in Lobar are able to compete in the market.
