Business development in the cafe sector of the country is currently growing rapidly so it is considered as one of the profitable business sector. One of the usual activities in the cafe is a meeting that has become part of the modern lifestyle of urban communities in big cities. This can be proved by the presence of cafes almost in every corner of the city. Based on data from Jakarta Tourism and Culture Office, there are more than 500 bars and cafes in Jakarta, and is predicted to grow by 30%. This has a positive effect on the growth of coffee and tea commodities in the country. The emergence of new habits of drinking coffee in modern coffee shops / cafe causes the level of coffee consumption also increases. Data from the Association of Indonesian Coffee Exporters and Industries (AEKI) noted that the number of coffee consumption increased 36% from 2010 to 2014. While according to Indonesian Tea Board, the domestic market still has considerable development potential because of the total domestic tea production, the domestic market only absorb 40% of national tea production, while the remaining 60% is exported.

Seeing these conditions, Reed Panorama Exhibitions (RPE) is fully supported by the Association of Indonesian Coffee Exporters and Industries (AEKI), Indonesian Specialty Coffee Association (AKSI), Indonesian Tea Board (DTI) and Indonesian Hotel & Restaurant Association (PHRI) held an exhibition of Cafe & Brasserie Indonesia which was held on 2 - 4 September 2016 at Hall B, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). James Boey, General Manager of Reed Panorama Exhibitions said that this event is the perfect time to introduce a container that brings together business entities in the cafe sector with manufacturers and distributors of Coffee, Tea, Coffee & Tea Machines and other supporting businesses entitled "CAFE & BRASSERIE INDONESIA (CBI) ". This event is designed specifically for business actors in this sector to exchange information, knowledge and latest trends and build a network of cooperation among business actors so as to grow business opportunities and will be an appropriate event for business people, from entrepreneurs, investors, franchisor and franchisees to professionals to explore information and expand connections.
