The government released the imposition of value added tax for the eight kinds of arts and entertainment activities. The new policy is contained in the Minister of Finance No. 158 / PMK.010 / 2015 signed by the Minister of Finance Bambang PS Brodjonegoro on August 12, 2015.

"Arts and entertainment services that are not subject to value-added tax that covers all types of services performed by the worker of art and entertainment that can facilitate them," reads Article 2, paragraph 1 of the regulation, as quoted from the Cabinet Secretariat's website on Thursday (20/08) ,

As for the type of art and entertainment are included free of VAT, among others: Discotheque, karaoke, night clubs, and the like.
