There are at least 5 to 7 entrepreneurs nationwide scale rice emerged in Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU). Cartel (hogging) rice trade and stock indicated will make Bulog increasingly difficult to control the price of rice in the market.

"If their market share of about 80 percent and Bulog only control 20 percent, meaning that 5 to 7 major players in each of the province's rice that dominate the market," said Muhammad Syarkawi Rauf, Chairman of the Central Commission Surabaya, Wednesday (11/11).

Unfortunately, the Commission can not do much on the action of the national rice large investors. The reason, the Commission will act, if the act or practice is destabilizing the price and distribution of rice.

Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Erick Thohir, confirmed that the Beneficiary Families (KPM) have received and will receive 10 kg from the free rice distribution program. Until December 10 2023, the government through Perum Bulog has distributed social assistance (bansos) in the form of rice 10 kg for 21.35 million KPM, with a total of 1.3 million tons of rice.
