Indonesia already has 21 units of mineral refining facilities (smelters) at the end of early 2022, or after 5 units of semelters are completed in 2021.
"The total realization of mineral refining facilities by 2021 is 21 smelters and plans for an additional 7 smelters in 2022," said Head of the Bureau of Communications, Public Information Services and Cooperation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Agung Pribadi in a release, Saturday (22 /10/2022).

The management of PT. Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero) targets began in 2016 to produce a derivative form of aluminum alloy and billet.
Director of INALUM Winardi Sunoto said this year firms still producing aluminum ingot with a planned production after the changes amounted to 255.300 tons. New in 2016, the management of producing aluminum alloy and billet, although the volume is still small, and in that year, and Billet Alloy production is targeted to each of 2,000 tons and 3,000 tons of the total production of aluminum products is planned as many as 244.400 tons.
