Potential iron sand mining in Sukabumi considered quite large. Iron sands producing areas in particular are on the south coast such as the District Tegalbuleud Sukabumi.

The magnitude of this potential is the main attraction for investors to exploit the site. One was conducted regional-owned enterprises (enterprises) owned Sukabumi regency PD Aneka Tambang (Ate). The local company is getting competition from a number of private companies.

PT Cipta Kridatama (CK), a subsidiary of PT ABM Investama Tbk get a new contract mining services worth more than US $ 187 million from PT Adidaya Tangguh, which is valid until the year 2023, this is the first contract CK in mineral mining iron ore.

President Director of CK Irfan Setiaputra has signed the contract. In the contract, CK will provide mining services such as the stripping of land (overburden removal), the transport of iron ore, as well as the rental of heavy equipment in the iron ore mines of PT. Tangguh Adidaya located in Taliabu Island, North Maluku province. CK is targeted to achieve production stripping the top layer of soil and land cover more than 13 million Bcm and renting tools for the production of iron ore over 21 million Mt located in the mine area of 100 ha. The iron ore will continue processing in iron ore processing plant located in Taliabu Island, North Maluku province.
