The Accommodation, Cafes and Restaurants division forms part of the 17 ANZSIC divisions which comprise the economy (i.e. Division H). Operators in this division provide three levels of accommodation, hotel, motel and other. Operators of pubs, taverns, bars, cafes, restaurants, caterers and hospitality clubs are also included in this division. The majority of services are provided to Australian consumers, however, interstate and international tourists along with corporate/government users are an integral part of the user market.
It is important to note that businesses which operate as retailers are excluded from this division. These operators are classified under Retail Trade (Division G). Also excluded are entities which primarily provide property and business services. These operators are classified under Property and Business Services (Division L).
