National Tire Industry is Expected To Grow 15 Percent: June 2011

National tire industry in 2011 is expected to grow and evolve until it reaches 15 percent over the previous year partly because of the increasing number of investment and high levels of vehicle sales.

Export tires in Indonesia in 2010 increased 25 percent to 35.1 million tires compared to 2009. While the level of national tire sales in 2010 also reported an increase of 23 percent or about 49.5 million tires a year earlier.

Chairman of the Association of Indonesia Tire Companies (APBI) expressed that the tire sales in Indonesia in the first quarter of 2011 increased 7 percent.
Gajah Tunggal’s Rating Stands at B-:, 7 August 2009

Standard & Poor’s has raised the rating of PT. Gajah Tunggal Tbk. from SD to B-. In addition, the company’s shareholders have agreed to exchange old bonds, worth US$ 420 million, with new bonds. The due date would be extended from 2010 to 2014.
