Zulkifli Hasan Emphasizes the Role of Menwa in Guarding Democracy in Indonesia: http://biz.kompas.com/read/2017/10/09/104041928/zulkifli-hasan-tekankan-peran-menwa-dalam-mengawal-demokrasi-di-indonesia/9 October 2017

Student Regiment (Menwa) was formed to defend NKRI. Menwa is not only equipped with technical skills for war, but also an understanding of ideology. Chairman of the MPR RI Zulkifli Hasan who also serves as Chairman of Students Regiment Alumni (IARMI) hoped that Menwa can be united in the differences that exist in society. Religious issues for example, must be quickly addressed properly.

Defend the country in this case does not mean ready to fight alone, but also in a broad sense is to maintain the Republic of Indonesia by strengthening the noble values of the nation.

Menwa plays a role in guarding the implementation and continues to spread democracy in the community, so the split can be avoided and can focus on continuously improving the quality of human resources in Indonesia. This was stated by Zulkifli.
