The emergence of car rental services-based applications has increased company earnings to a surplus in the range of 70% -80%. Indonesian Employers Association Chairman Rental (PPRI) Hendric Kusnadi said the presence of such applications Uber Taxi and GrabCar facilitate entrepreneurs to attract customers every day. Working closely with enterprise applications such as GrabCar of GrabTaxi will take place formally through formal agreements. PPRI members will use the application GrabCar in one year and can be extended.
Currently, there are 23 car rental companies under PPRI with a total fleet of more than 900 units of the car. PPRI continue cooperating individual owners who rent out their cars to enter in its membership. However, it will reject the filing of private car owners who become dark taxis at airports.

TRAC-Astra Rent a Car, a car rental service solution from PT Serasi Autoraya (SERA), introduced TRAC Syariah, Indonesia's first long-term car rental product based on sharia business principles.
Director of TRAC-Astra Rent a Car, Hadi Winarto said, TRAC Syariah is also the first product in Indonesia that legally presents ijarah service, which is rental activity in accordance with Islamic law.
The advantage of TRAC Syariah is the openness and fairness in the management of vehicles and can be developed into mudharabah products with the concept of profit sharing and has obtained a recommendation from the National Sharia Board to run a shariah-based car rental service business based on a letter of recommendation issued on November 7, 2016. Currently, TRAC Syariah car rental service is already accessible through 34 branches of TRAC-Astra Rent a Car which spread in 31 cities in Indonesia.
