Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi conveyed Nigeria's interest in railway carrier PT Industri Kereta Api. Therefore, during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia to Nigeria, the two countries are exploring the cooperation of Indonesian railway carriage sales. And President Joko Widodo has instructed to follow up the cooperation.

Nigeria is not only interested to buy railway carriage made in Indonesia, but also ask for human resources capacity building assistance. The value of the cooperation reached 3.4 million US dollars for two years.

For the first time, Indonesian exports of passenger train carriages made by PT Industri Kereta Api (INKA) to Bangladesh. This proves that the domestic industry is able to compete in the international market, because it managed to penetrate the world export market.

According to Finance Minister Bambang P.S. Brodjonegoro, train carriages for export is relatively new. Having long relied on exports of raw commodities such as mining and palm oil, is expected to export train carriages can be followed by exports of other manufactures. So that it can continue, furthermore, the government is also working to improve the pattern of export promotion. Trade Minister Thomas Lembong said, this success is the result of cooperation among government agencies during this and the Ministry of Trade will continue to support the Indonesian export manufacturing output.
