And only about 6.4% of the number of Puskesmas located in the islands, and 1.2% in the border area.

To improve public health services Rokan Hilir District Government has raised facilities a number of Public Health Center to Inpatient Public Health Center, in several districts in order to provide services to help people get good health care, particularly areas far from the Bagansiapiapi city.
According to the Head of Health Department Rokan Hilir dr. Junaidi Saleh, M.Kes through the Secretary of the Department of Health Suryadi, SH, there are 19 health centers in Rokan Hilir and 9 (nine) of them have become inpatient, but 10 (ten) are not upgraded to inpatient.
