Domestic cement sales could exceed 44 million tons,http://www.beritasatu.com, 7 November 2011


Indonesian Cement Association (ASI) estimates that domestic sales target this year is pegged at 44 million tones, up from 40 million tons in 2010, could exceed the target. The strong fundamentals of national economy to trigger the increase; this condition is not separated from the real sector investment squirm. Property still contributes the sales about 60-70 per cent, while the remaining from infrastructure.

Indonesia's largest independent distribution company for building materials PT. Catur Sentosa Adiprana is set to expand aggressively in 2008 by adding more of its retail chain Mitra10 in Pamulang, Cinere, Fatmawati, Depok, Medan, Gading Serpong and Bali to serve a growing base of customers and high demand for modern, complete and convenient building materials store.

The company will allocate a total of IDR 111,456 billion to fund the expansion, generated from the IPO proceeds in 2007 and profits from years of strong financial performance.

With 22 stores across around in Indonesia, CSAP is currently the market leader which pioneered the new trend in lifestyle and modern shopping for building materials with the introduction of its first Mitra10 store in 1997.

In first 2008, revenue of CSAP increased as big as 137 billion or 29 percent from 474 billion on first quarter 2007 to 610.7 billion in first quarter 2008. Gross Profit increased as big as 17.1 billion or 27.9percent from 61.3 billion in first quarter 2007 to 78.5 billion in first quarter 2008. Operating Profit increased as big as 6.8 billion or 40.6percent from 16.9 billion in first quarter 2007 to 23.8 billion in first quarter 2008.
