Sell a subsidiary, JPFA focus works on agribusiness, http://waspada.co.id, 27 April 2011


PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) decided to refocus on agribusiness activities in Indonesia, particularly poultry production, including cattle feed, hatchery-day-old chicken (DOC). This decision was taken after selling the subsidiary of PT. So Good Food (SGF) is not within the main focus of the Company. Transactions Sales SGF provides flexibility for the Company to concentrate on developing the poultry business so it can maintain its leadership in agribusiness market in Indonesia.

The Farming, Fishing and Maritime Bureau of Jakarta plans to import beef from Brazil, as the price is lower compared to imported beef from Australia and New Zealand. If they do decide to carry out with the plan, dependency upon imported meat from Australian and New Zealand may decline.
