SNI Mandatory Shall Be Applied To Encourage Local Toy Industry: http://finance.detik.com/read/2010/12/26/152543/1532830/4/sni-wajib-mainan-bakal-dorong-industri-mainan-lokal/26 December 2010

Traditional Toys and Educational Association of Indonesia (APMETI) estimates there will be an increase of sales to local toy production if the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) will be applied to toy products in 2011. During 2010 the producers of particular types of educational toys and traditional sales reached U.S. $ 6 million. While in the year 2011 it is expected to rise to 15-20%.

To support this SNI, the government should immediately engage the public and educational institutions, provide a low-cost financing (Small Business Loans), as well as facilitating market access for local toy manufacturers.
