PT Pertamina Lubricants targets sales of 550,000 kilo liters (KL) by the end of 2022. As a company that dominates the domestic lubricant industry, Pertamina Lubricants targets to grow above the targeted market growth of 5% to 10% next year.

Director of Sales & Marketing Sari Rachmi said that the largest market for lubricants is none other than Indonesia. "Export volume is still dominant in the domestic market, but we are trying to target sales growth in countries that are currently the focus," he told Kontan, Tuesday (29/11).

Each year, lubricant demand increases with increasing production capacity. As a result, the industry players try to grab the opportunity. Public Relations of PT Pertamina Lubricants, Intania Prionggo, said that almost 90% of industrial sector has used Pertamina lubricant. The company has also been in synergy with various state-owned companies, such as PT PLN (Persero), PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) and PT Pelayaran Indonesia (Pelni).

Throughout 2017, Pertamina Lubricants continued to experience improved performance in the industrial and automotive sectors. When compared to the same period in 2016, Pertamina Lubricants sales increased 2.5% from the total Pertamina Lubricants sales to both sectors.
