The rising property industry brings blessings to its derivative industries, one of which is the gypsum industry which is used as residential interiors. This industry is expected to grow rapidly next year. Even in the global market, this industry capitalization is estimated to penetrate USD28.16 billion in 2024.

Domestically, gypsum sales are still high during this pandemic, following the continued growth in the construction of property projects such as apartments and offices. In order to boost sales in the domestic market, a number of gypsun manufacturers have made innovations to expand the market.

Vanguard announced that it has acquired 80% stake Yuplo Resouces, an Indonesian company which owns the concession limestone at East Solor, East Flores regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Vanguard mutual Yuplo Resources will develop a land area of 3,500 hectares to process limestone (Ca CO3) and gypsum (CaSO4.2H2O). Limestone and gypsum can be processed into a variety of purposes, such as raw material for paints, cosmetics and cement. According to Vanguard, gypsum quality is quite high, with a purity of up to 85% - 95%.
