PT Timah Tbk (TINS) targets tin ore production volume to reach 35,000 tons in 2022. This target is optimistic to be achieved through partnerships conducted by the company. "The target is still around 30,000 to 35,000 tonnes in 2022. Data in the first semester is still small, yes, we are working on it in the second semester, hopefully it will be achieved, the method is by adding partnerships," said Corporate Secretary of PT Timah Tbk Abdullah Umar Baswedan in Jakarta, Friday (2/9/2022). Of this amount, 39 percent or 3,829 tons came from land mining, while the remaining 61 percent or 6,072 tons came from sea mining. This led to a decrease in refined tin production by 26 percent to 8,805 Mton from the 6M21 period of 11,915 Mton.

For information, the company's production of tin metal ore in 2021 is 24,670 tons, down compared to the realization in 2020, amounting to 39,757 tons. Meanwhile, actual tin ore production in the first half of 2022 was recorded at 9,901 tons, down 14 percent compared to the same period in 2021 of 11,457 tons.

PT Timah (Persero) Tbk is ready to accommodate people's tin ore mining to prevent "illegal mining" in the area is quite high. "We are ready to buy tin ore miners of the people if it meets the requirements of mining that have been established," said Corporate Secretary of PT Timah (Persero) Tbk Agung Nugroho in Pangkalpinang, Thursday (09/07/2015).
