Almost all the cement companies, both state-owned enterprises like any private, increase production capacity in recent years in order to pursue a supply shortage of cement in the domestic market.
Cement Industry Association (ASI) projecting domestic cement consumed con reach 54 million tons this year, growing at least 12% compared with last year's 48 million tons.
As of October this year, domestic cement consumption grew beyond the projection of 14.5% to 44.6 million tons, compared with the same period last year of 38.9 million tons.

With the total capacity of the country's cement industry reaching 100 million tons, SOEs in this case Semen Indonesia Group only dominated about 36% of the market. The rest is dominated by foreign and private players who in recent years continue to emerge.
