Minister of Agriculture SYL Opens Horticulture Jamboree 2022: Indonesian Fruits and Vegetables Must Be Global: https://pangannews.id/berita/1670031871/mentan-syl-buka-jambore-hortikultura-2022-buah-dan-sayur-indonesia-harus-mendunia/3 December 2022 The Directorate General of Horticulture, Ministry of Agriculture, held the Horticulture Jamboree 2022. Activities were held from Friday - Sunday, 2 -4 December 2022. The Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL), also attended and opened the event with the Director General of Horticulture, Prihasto Setyanto.
SYL explained that his party appreciates the achievements of horticultural commodities over the past few years. In the midst of a pandemic two years ago, the agricultural sector survived and actually increased.
Minister SYL then cited the 2022 Central Statistics Agency (BPS) data. He revealed that the production of horticultural commodities had increased. The fruit sector accounted for 8.7 percent, five percent for vegetables, 19.2 percent for medicinal plants, and 32.6 percent for non-stalked flora.
