The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) through the Directorate General of Capture Fisheries (DJPT) noted that non-tax state revenues (PNBP) from natural capture fisheries resources continued to increase. It is estimated that per day, PNBP from this sub-sector reaches Rp.700 billion.

Plt. Secretary of the Directorate General of Capture Fisheries, Trian Yunanda, revealed that this amount even exceeded the total PNBP achievement in 2020, which was Rp.643.60 billion. He assessed that this increase occurred in line with the number of applications for capture fisheries permits that were entered through the Quick Service Permit Information System (SILAT).

Asian and Pacific countries agreed to reduce the capture of young blue fin tuna at 15 percent. The agreement is the conclusion of the meeting for four days in forum Central Pacific Fisheries Commission and the West (WCPFC) in Fukuoka, Japan, who in nine countries including the U.S., China, South Korea and Taiwan. The participating countries agree to reduce the catch of blue fin tuna aged three years or younger started since 2014, amounting to 15 percent of the average between 2002 and 2004. WCPFC Forum was formed in 2004 to refer to the UN treaty to protect and manage tuna and fish availability in the central and western Pacific region.
