Carrefour opened market access for agricultural products: June 2011

PT. Carrefour Indonesia is ready to help and improve market access of agricultural products from small and medium-scale farmers who are members of farmer groups. As far as farmers and UKM can partner to meet some aspects of the quality products they produce, ready to market it to the 81 Carrefour stores in the country, especially the aspect of supply or capacity, product uniformity and several other aspects.
Matahari Abandons Supermarket Business:, 26 June 2009

PT. Matahari Putra Prima Tbk. (MPPA) plans to abandon the supermarket business and shift to convenience stores. The new line of business will be named Foodmart and Food Express. With such high competition in the hypermarket/supermarket business, the shift in business line is considered as wise by analysts. In 2009, Matahari has allocated Rp.600 billion in fund to build 7 hypermart, 7 Boston and 2 Foodmart.
