Accreditation Institutions of Work Training Institutions (LA-LPK) and the Accreditation Committee of Work Training Institutions (KA-LPK) are required to establish a Quality Based Accreditation System because the credibility of a Work Training Institution (LPK) is determined by the accreditation system implemented in LA-LPK and KA -LPK. This was conveyed by the Director General of Training and Productivity Development (Binalattas) of the Ministry of Labor, Bambang Satrio Lelono.
According to Bambang, LA-LPK and KA-LPK need to build a Quality Based Accreditation System with measurable performance indicators (outputs) and provide outcomes for training service users, so it is expected to grow a quality culture, starting from setting standards, implementing standards, evaluating standards, and continuously improving standards. There are eight aspects assessed by LA-LPK regarding the credibility of a LPK, ie work competency, curriculum, training materials, LPK management or governance, instructors and training personnel, facilities and infrastructure, financial administration, and assessment.
