BKPM : Health Clinic Enterprises will be Regulated: November 2015

The Ministry of Health proposed that the business field of health clinics can be rearranged in Investment Guide are being discussed by the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). According to the Head of BKPM Franky Sibarani, the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Health will be two clinics categorization, namely pratama clinics and main clinic, including specialist clinics.

Pratama clinic is prepared for general clinic proposed a 100 percent domestic investment (PMDN), while the main clinic which will be classified by a specialist clinic proposed 67 percent foreign ownership (of foreign investment / PMA). Regulation in Presidential Regulation No. 39 of 2014 regarding the List of Closed Business Fields and List of Business Fields Open with requirements that exist today divides types of clinics in two categories, namely specialist medical clinics and dental clinics. This re-organization will have an impact on other business areas in the health sector such as laboratories and other business sectors including the impact on the Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC).
