2012, UIN Opens a Hospital, http://www.fajar.co.id, 12 November 2011


State Islamic University (UIN) Alauddin Makassar will open Type C Hospital in 2012. This plan is the first step of preparation Hospital Education (Type B) in the year 2013-2014. The plan is a clear sign of the seriousness of UIN to open the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, with consideration of the land area of 6.3 hectares. Campus I, the Graduate College (PPs), will be renovated into a hospital.

The high entrance fee into State Universities, particularly re-voiced ITB totaling Rp.55 million per year, make the ITB labeled as a campus of the rich. With the status of the State Owned Legal Entity (BHMN), universities are no longer getting an adequate supply of subsidies from the government. Universities in the country are required to find their own sources of financing.
