Architecture Becomes Revenue Machine of Creative Industry : https://industri.kontan.co.id/news/arsitektur-jadi-mesin-pendapatan-industri-kreatif/11 December 2017

The Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) predicts that the creative industry's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) next year can reach 6.25%. This growth will be able to absorb labor up to 16.70 million people.

One of the creative industry sectors with enormous potential is architecture. Bekraf includes architecture as one of the sub-sectors that deserve to be managed more seriously. According to Deputy Infrastructure of the Creative Economy Agency, Hari Santoso Sungkari, this sector has several challenges, including the lack of architects in Indonesia, only 15,000 people. Another challenge is that large developers use more foreign architects than local architects.
Millenial Affects Architecture and Interior Industry: http://properti.bisnis.com/read/20171210/48/716843/milenial-pengaruhi-industri-arsitektur-dan-interior/10 December 2017

Increasing the number of millennials in buying properties also affects the growth of the creative industries of architecture and interior sub-sectors. One of the local creative industry players in this subsector is Velospace & Co which has a portfolio ranging from residential homes, apartments, retail, office, to warehousing.

According to Verik Angerik, founder of Velospace, limited land for homes under Rp1 billion does not make this segment ignore aesthetic values in its architectural elements. Millenial markets look more at the idea and uniqueness of a property design, although the question of price depends on the purchasing power of each. The need for services of architects and interior design also increases along with the growth of high-end residential, office, hotel, to retail or business space.

Although the foreign players in this sub-sector quite a lot, the quality of architects and local designers are not lost.
