LIPI Microbial Center is Targeted for World Class,, 26 April 2012

Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) is planning to build a collection of microorganisms that will be located in Cibinong. The construction of these microbes is in the process. It is expected that the construction could be completed this year. Furthermore, microbial collection center will be managed by LIPI Pusli Biology. This facility is expected to be recognized by the world so the future can help researchers to do research. The existence of the collection centers also benefit Indonesia because researchers do not need to store specimens or cultures abroad. This while maintaining Indonesia's biodiversity.
LIPI develops open source operation system: , 7 November 2009

The National Institute of Science is developing IGN2009, which is an open source operation system whose been developed by IGOS Nusantara 2008. The system based on Linux system which is suitable for desktop computation both on personal computers, laptop, or notebook. IGN2009 is available on three type of media IGN2009 DVD installer, Live CD GNOME, IGN 2009 LiveCD LXDE.
