The story of KAI rising from adversity after being hit by Covid-19:https://www.cnbcindonesia.com/news/20201231195435-4-212838/kisah-kai-bangkit-dari-keterpurukan-setelahdihantam-covid-19/2/31 December 2020

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) 2020 is a challenging year. But every problem has a solution and can be solved. The biggest problem this year is the Covid-19 pandemic. KAI is clearly affected directly by the virus that has spread throughout the world. Only serving 299 thousand customers per day from the usual 1.2 million people, freight transportation decreased by 12%, even though this disrupted KAI's cash flow, KAI's management took the best steps to commit to protecting all of its employees. Until the end of 2020, in fact there were no KAI employees who were terminated.

Facing the Covid-19 outbreak, KAI has taken various steps so that customers and employees of KAI can avoid exposure to the virus. KAI continues to socialize intensively in all stations in Indonesia. KAI is also disciplined in implementing health protocols referring to the government, such as checking body temperature, obliging to wear masks, providing hand washing facilities, and limiting passenger capacity.
