The concept of an affordable and comfortable hotel (budget hotel) is estimated to be the hospitality business trends in 2015. Therefore, the concept is increasingly attracted tourists who want the speed and ease of access to tourist sites.

This is expressed by the President of Indonesia Travel and Tourism Awards (ITTA) Panca R Sarungu after the press conference conferment ITTA to-5, Monday (15/12/2014), in Jakarta.

"In Indonesia, there are about 30 names cheap hotel, both of which are under the management of multinational and local hotel," said Panca. For example, the Group launched a Fave Aston Hotel.

Hotel business in Palembang, South Sumatera Province promises to gain profit, so the construction of new hotels is now continuing.

Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Hotels and Restaurants (PHRI) South Sumatra Herlan Aspiudin said that Palembang has become one of the meeting destinations, conventions, exhibitions and national and international sporting venues, and the appointment of the Asian Games adds investor attraction to this city. The organizers and participants of these activities definitely need a hotel for the venue or stay. This condition is a business opportunity that must be utilized by the businessman and the local community, since so far most of the hotels built by businessmen from outside the region.

To take advantage of these business opportunities, PHRI South Sumatra management encourages local business actors to develop business to the hotel sector with a higher class, from the condition during most of the building hotel class jasmine. Currently, the total number of hotels in Palembang is 120 units.
