Indonesian Toy Industry Optimistic to Increase 5% in 2021: https://sampaijauh.com/industri-mainan-indonesia-optimis-naik-5-di-2021-9343/17 December 2021
A number of industries have started to rise after slumping during the Covid-19 pandemic, including the Indonesian toy industry. The Indonesian Toy Entrepreneurs Association (APMI) remains optimistic that sales of children's toys in 2021 can increase by 5%. Demand for exports to a number of countries is also showing an increase.
"The sale of children's toys this month is very good. Several countries also import from us because their stocks are also running low," said Winata Riangsaputra, Chair of APMI's Wooden Toys Division. It is known, during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the production capacity of the children's toy industry can only run at 10%. This is because there is no demand from within the country or abroad.
However, after six months, the toy industry began to recover due to an increase in orders, especially educational toys and family toys for the domestic market and dolls and educational toys for the export market, until finally it can reach 75% of the production volume of the target.
