Each year, lubricant demand increases with increasing production capacity, so industry players are trying to seize the opportunity. Intania Prionggo, Public Relations of PT Pertamina Lubricants explains, currently almost 90% of the industrial sector has used Pertamina lubricants. The company has also been in synergy with various state-owned companies, such as PT PLN (Persero), PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) and PT Pelayaran Indonesia (Pelni), which have been 100% using Pertamina lubricants.

Throughout this year, Pertamina Lubricants claims continued improvement in performance in the industrial and automotive sectors. When compared to the same period in 2016, Pertamina Lubricants increased 2.5% of Pertamina's total lubricant sales to both sectors. Calculation of Pertamina, national industrial lubricant requirement of 330.000 kiloliters (Kkl). Pertamina Lubricants supplies an average of over 250,000 kl.

PT. Pertamina Lubricants, a subsidiary of PT. Pertamina (Persero) recorded a decline in sales of lubricating oil through August 2015. For Region V, the drop in sales area of East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara dropped 7%. In fact, Region V was initially aiming for a sales increase of the lubricants for the automotive and industrial machinery needs to rise at least 3% throughout 2015.

Region Sales Manager of Pertamina Lubricants Region V Arifun Dhalia says sales conditions until well into the second half of this year assessed in these difficult times. "Overall sales in the automotive industry or the oil industry are equally fell 7%," he said during a media visit to the Production Unit Gresik, Tuesday (15/9).
