The development of advanced technology and tools to encourage an increase in digital-based activity. No exception needs to read digital books. In order not to sink in the middle of modernity, PT. Gramedia Asri Media became more serious in developing digital business.

Gramedia Asri which is part of the Kompas Gramedia Group that is affiliated with KONTAN, just digital business cooperation. "Recently we got the contract procurement of digital books e-library belonging to the provincial government of Jakarta," said Yosef Adityo N., General Manager of the Corporate Secretary of PT Gramedia Asri Media to KONTAN, Thursday (19/11).

PT. Gramedia Asri Media will be busy over the next year. Kompas Gramedia Group subsidiary that manages network Gramedia bookstore was already set three homework in 2015.

First, a company affiliated with KONTAN it, will consolidate the Group of Retail Publishing subsidiary another Kompas Gramedia Group. Both will join the Group of Retail and Publishing. Second, the post-consolidation, Gramedia Asri will throttle opening 21 bookstores. A total of seven new stores are outside of Java, namely in Palembang, Padang, Aceh, Balikpapan, Palangkaraya, Hammer, and Sorong.

The Company assesses the potential market outside of Java books is still very large. It was further supported by the increased migration and the emergence of industrial centers outside Java.

Not just to add to the store, next year Gramedia Asri make a breakthrough by presenting three brand-new store concept, covering Scholastic World, Scholastic Scholastic Kids and Teeny Teensy. Three concept store that will complement Regular Scholastic, stores that already exist today.

The concept of the store is part of the company's efforts to win the hearts of consumers. "We are seeing a shift in the retail business that makes consumers prefer to choose a place other than the bookstore. So this competition is not only in bookstores but everywhere," explained Director of Operations Gramedia Asri media V. Sugiarto, Friday (31/10).
