Motor vehicle sales market in Indonesia is expected to rise this year. Chairman o of Indonesian Automotive Industries Association (GAIKINDO) said Indonesia's ranking, including the big three in the ASEAN automotive industry is growing quite advanced.

Indonesia's market potential is still wide open for motor vehicle products, because with a population of 200 million more, only a small part of owning a car, "Of the 1000 people only 30 who had cars.

Growth in our vehicle industry is the tidal effect of several factors. But growth for 2009 to2010 alone could be 58 percent.

PT. Bajaj Auto Indonesia is ready to work on a new segment, 135 cc sport motorcycle, with the launch of Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS (Lights Sport). The unit is valued at Rp.14.7 million (on the road, Jakarta). It is the first of its kind. Weighing at 122 kg, the motorcycle is equipped with a 4-valve DTS-I machine and perform like a 150 cc machine. With the new product, the company aims to boost sales of its motorcycle division to 24,000 units. Presently, Bajaj Auto Indonesia products include: Bajaj XCD DTS-Si 125 cc, Pulsar DTS-i 180 cc and Pulsar DTS-i 200cc.
