Glass industry will be the market leaders of Asean if the price cuts of industrial gas be done, as energy prices affect the cost of production by 25%. Chairman of the Indonesian Glass Manufacturers Association Henry T. Susanto said that efficiency must be maintained, and if the government gives support, the price of gas should be lowered.

Currently, product types table ware Indonesia dominate ASEAN markets, as well as the type of glass that is competing with Vietnam and Thailand. Types of bottles, Thailand dominate Asean market. More than 80% of raw materials in quantity has been filled from within the country, such as silica sand, limestone. For imported raw materials, such as soda ash and sulfuric acid. However, the quality of imported raw materials affects 50% of production costs.

Mulia Industrindo Tbk (MLIA) through its subsidiary PT Muliaglass (MG) will unleashes its stake in PT Muliakeramik Indahraya (MK). This transaction is conducted to increase and improve the company's financial position as a public company.

On September 18, 2017, the company and Eka Gunatama Mandiri (EGM) have signed a Conditional Sale and Purchase Agreement with a sales transaction value of Rp.425 billion, whereby EGM has agreed to pay cash. EGM is an affiliated company of the company, one of Mulia Industrindo's shareholders with 43.11% ownership.
