The construction of the first pesticide (carbamate) raw material factory in Indonesia was built in Serang, Banten by PT Delta Giri Wacana (DGW Group). Head of the Serang Regency Food and Agricultural Security Service (DKPP), Suhardjo said that the construction of the pesticide factory could boost the productivity of farmers in Serang.

Meanwhile, the Main Director of DGW Group, David Yaory said that this factory will later produce active pesticide ingredients such as methomyl. The initial investment is worth US$ 20 million or around Rp.320 billion for buildings and machinery, not including working capital. This factory will be the first in Indonesia, as well as the best in Southeast Asia and will make Indonesia a host in its own country to independently produce agricultural solution products so that the risk of dependence on raw materials from outside can be avoided.
