SMESCO Indonesia raised the art of quilt and needle to the international exhibition. This is the second year Smesco held the Quilt & Needle Craft Festival. Participated by quilt, embroidery and knitting communities from the Netherlands, Japan, Thailand, Korea and the Philippines.

Director of Marketing Service Institution of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs Emilia Suhaimi said that in the event Smesco Indonesia will focus on improving the art of patchwork and raising the name of quilt as the name of a worldwide craft. Participants who follow the event will get many interesting benefits. Among them the participants have the opportunity to become partners of Smesco Indonesia. In addition, SMEs are expected to go up the class.

Smesco Indonesia will also help apply the quilt to lifestyle products (households, bags, and fashion) to be accepted by the public. And in the workshop on quilts, also brought teachers from countries that are also as quilt producers, namely Japan, Thailand, and Korea.
