Manufacture of micro and small-scale knitting increasingly worrisome, as the weakening of the rupiah against the U.S. dollar in recent months. Concerns knitting businessmen based in West Java threads soaring prices of raw materials (yarn) that most are imports. On the other hand, industrial trouble raising product prices due to price competition with other products. Crafters Knitting at knitting center Binongjati bear a loss of about Rp.15 thousand per dozen, since the rupiah weakened.

Perpetrators of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) Binong Knitting Centers Bandung currently continues to spur the marketing of products through online media in order to compete in the era of the Asean Economic Community (AEC) which is already in force. Chairman III of the Association of Indigenous Centers Binong Jati Knitting Bandung Zamzam Hendarsyah said since the last five years of knitting businesses continued to decline following a number of imported products continue to be available in the local market. Of the 400 businesses in 2010, currently has only lived 200 businesses that still survive with a total production of knitting 1,600 dozen per month.

The presence of digitally village released by one of the state-owned enterprises that is engaged in the information technology sector is expected to spur businesses back alive. Since the problem of product marketing for this is a constraint for businesses, which are locations of centers impenetrable by large vehicles considering the condition of the road infrastructure is very small. So with online marketing through digitally village businesses can widen the sale to various regions in Indonesia. In addition, businesses that still survive currently continues to spur product innovation such as making the robe, and other clothing accessories of Knitting. This is done so that the existence of knitting from Binong Jati can survive.
