Korean investors will build the Chocolate Factory in the district Kolaka: August 2010

Korean investors plan to build a chocolate candy factory in Kolaka, in the near future.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board Puskud Sultra revealed, the potential development of cocoa industry in Southeast Sulawesi is very promising, especially the availability of raw materials and as one of the largest cocoa producing region in Indonesia. In addition to improving the welfare of farmers in boosting overall economic growth of Southeast Sulawesi, also can absorb labor.

Puskud first step along this time investors are seeing and make sure the location of the container port development to support the infrastructure which is planned to be built in District Kolaka.

First we have to have a dedicated port container, to support the transportation of our products. And look at the ability of our Cooperative to supply industrial cocoa later.
Mayora Indah's Profit Rises by 89.65 Percent:, 2 April 2010

PT. Mayora Indah Tbk. (MYOR) has booked 89.65 percent increase in net profit in 2009 due to increase in sales and gross profit. The company also booked interest income of Rp.20.26 billion and Rp.2.14 billion in asset sales. The company secured Rp.372.16 billion in net profit, higher than 2008's Rp.196.23 billion net profit.
