Bangka regency government offered Downstream Mining Investment: http://beritadaerah.com/berita/sumatra/39943/28 May 2011


Bangka regency government, the Province of Bangka Belitung (Babel), offering downstream mining industry investment to encourage economic growth and improve the welfare of the community. Currently, there are two foreign investors from South Korea and China interested in investing to build tin ore processing plant materials into finished products.

Downstream industrial development prospects are promising due to the mining area to the mining and production of tin ore is quite high. Area of tin ore mining area 100,402.22 hectares spread over eight districts in Bangka

Production of ore processing of tin in 2010 reached 9702.650 tons and 8240.432 tons of tin ore production.

The contract period for PT. Koba Tin will end in 2013. For that reason, PT. Koba Tin has been asked to cover its excavation sites. It is regulated that five year prior to expiration of the contract, the appointed company is obliged to close all digging sites and ensure proper reclamation.
