Head of the Cultivation Fisheries Division of the Kapuas Hulu District Fisheries Service Abang Zulkifli, S.Pi., M.Sc handed over 9 arowana broodstock to the Fish Cultivation Group (Pokdakan) "Muara Tanjung" Jongkong Tanjung Village, Jongkong District, Tuesday (12/12) /2022).

Assistance in the form of 9 arowana fish breeders was handed over directly to the recipient group. This assistance is the General Allocation Fund (DAU) for the 2022 fiscal year in accordance with a request for a proposal from the Pokdakan "Muara Tanjung" which went to the Kapuas Hulu District Fisheries Service.

The handover of aid was accompanied by the Putussibau District Attorney together with the goods/services supplier and the Head of Tanjung Village.

Submission of assistance was delivered after shopping was carried out through a local E-Catalog where there was already the only business actor, namely PT. Archipelago Arwana Indonesia (NAI). In the delivery of assistance to the Pokdakan "Muara Tanjung" from the company, the examiner carried out by the Fisheries Service who was also accompanied by the Putussibau District Attorney to ensure that the goods submitted were in accordance with the type, size, quantity, chif, certificate and Letter of Transport for Fish Types (SAJI) as stated in the Order Letter, "said Zulkifli.

The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) is introducing digital technology-based sustainable aquaculture to school-age children from Elementary School to Junior High School in commemoration of National Fish Day 2023. This is done as an effort to foster interest in fish cultivation from an early age so as to help encourage increasing aquaculture production and the economy.

The Director General of Aquaculture, Tb Haeru Rahayu, in his statement said that it is time for the younger generation not to be ashamed of fish farming. The potential for aquaculture in Indonesia is very large. Technological developments in order to increase production in the fisheries subsector continue to be improved. The data recording system has been implemented digitally, so that every decision made is based on measurable technical data. The application of digital technology includes checking water quality, biomass, daily feed and daily growth.
