PT Berlina Tbk will not share its net profit dividends booked in 2005 in the amount of Rp.3.3 billion. Instead, as much as Rp.3 billion of the net profit will be retained and Rp.300 million will be used for reserves. If shared, the value of the dividends will be small. Last year, the company’s net slumped to merely Rp.3.3 billion compared to the previous year’s Rp.16 billion. Despite that, in 2005 the company booked a net sale of Rp.280 billion, up 4.7 percent compared to the year before amounting to Rp.40.7 billion in 2004 to Rp.24.4 billion.

PT Berlina, a plactic packaging company, wiould issue Rp.150 million worth of bonds in two types, regular bonds (Rp.75 billion) and syariah bonds (Rp.75 billion). The bonds would be listed in the Surabaya Stock Exchange on 16 December. The fund from the bond emission would be used for business expansion and to pay for the company’s Rp.50 billion debt. The fund from the syariah bonds emission, however, would be solely used for business expansion. Both bonds received an A rating from Kasnic. The company’s performance in 2004 increased significantly as shown by the Rp.9.8 billion net profit and the Rp.27.2 billion business profit the company obtained during that year.
