Book Fair to Commemorate Djambatan’s 50th Anniversary

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Djambatan publishing house, a book fair was held from the 2nd to the 6th of June 2004 in Purna Budaya, Yogyakarta. The event was participated by a number of local and national publishers. During the fair, there were also activities such as discussions, children’s quizzes and story-telling contest. Djambatan is a labour of love. It puts forward cultural and intellectual values instead of commercial values.
