The wood craft industry still has the potential to generate Rupiah for people in Bali and West Nusa Tenggara by increasing export value. According to data released by the Department of Industry and Trade of the Province of Bali, the overall activity of export of handicrafts from Bali, to this day wooden handicraft industry is still much in demand by foreign countries. This is evident from the realization of wood craft exports since January 2016-August 2016 which increased by 32.84%, from US $ 43.6 million in the period January 2015-August 2015 rose to US $ 57.91 million in the same period this year.

Head of Industry and Trade Office of Bali Province, Ni Wayan Kusumawathi said that during January 2016-August 2016 wood craft industry contributes 15.72% of the total export commodities from Bali, with export volume reaching 24.05 million units in that period. Although the whole realization of export of handicrafts from Bali experienced a decline of 0.5% in the period compared to the same period the previous year, there are still some handicraft exports which increased one wooden crafts that are still in demand by foreign countries. Ketut Dharma Siadja, Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Handicraft Exporters and Producers (Asephi) Bali also said that the wood craft industry is still the most demanded by the export destination countries of Bali. The largest export destination of handicraft from Bali is America.

Bali wood craft industry should be ready to anticipate the threat of similar businesses from Vietnam, India, the Philippines and Thailand because some products have similar results.

DPP Deputy Head of Regulatory Association of Indonesian Furniture and Handicraft Industries (HIMKI) Luther Teguh Tanuwijaya revealed four countries style carving up the ability of workers closest to Bali.
