Corporate Secretary of PT Argha Karya Prima Industry, Tjoe Mun Lie said that this capital expenditure will be used to maintain production equipment.
In May 2018, there was a fire that consumed the BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) production machine 2, machine 3 and machine 4. Production machine 4 can resume operations in August 2018. Machine 2 and machine 3 cannot be used anymore because it is badly damaged. The company is currently taking care of insurance claims to Mash Indonesia for damage to machines 2 and machines 3. The two production machines contributed around 10% or 10,000 tons of production per year. The APKI factory in Citeureup, Bogor has a capacity of 100,000 tons of plastic packaging per year.
