Cosmetic Industry Still Shining in 2019: https://www.neraca.co.id/article/109508/industri-kosmetik-masih-cemerlang-di-2019/26 November 2018
Although it recorded a financial performance that was not satisfactory, in addition to declining sales but also recorded losses of up to Rp.21.65 billion. PT Martina Berto Tbk (MBTO) still sees optimism about the prospect of the cosmetic industry in 2019.

President Director of PT Martina Berto Tbk, Bryan Tilaar said that the beauty industry will be more brilliant in 2019. This is caused by consumption levels that are still good. However, competition with fellow local producers and the onslaught of imported products must be anticipated. As a national company, PT Martina Berto Tbk always maintains the values of local wisdom in each of its products. He gave an example of the Sari Ayu Martha Tilaar brand that raised the theme of the archipelago. Every brand must have value and differentiation with others in order to win the competition.
As of July 2022, the cosmetics industry has increased by 83% and is dominated by SMEs: https://www.suara.com/pressrelease/2022/09/13/105011/hingga-juli-2022-industri-kosmetik-meningkat-83-dan-didominasi-ukm/13 September 2022

Apart from that, BPOM also noted that the cosmetic industry experienced an increase in the number of companies by up to 20.6 percent. A total of 819 cosmetic industries have increased to 913 industries from 2021 to July 2022. The increase in the cosmetics industry is dominated by SMEs, which is 83%.

Not only had that, during the Covid-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia, the cosmetics industry in the country undergone significant changes.
