Lingga Considers The Fish Canning Industry in Banyuwangi: http://www.tribunnews.com/regional/2017/10/17/lingga-jajaki-industri-pengalengan-ikan-di-banyuwangi/17 October 2017
The Government of Lingga Regency, Riau Islands continues to seek a breakthrough to raise the fishery sector in the area. One of them by considering the cooperation of the development of canning and fish flour industry with PT. Sumber Yala Samudra as one of the largest canning, flour and fish oil companies in Banyuwangi, East Java. This was conveyed by Head of Department of Marine and Fisheries of Lingga, Aang Abubakar.

According to Aang, the result of his meeting with the management of PT. Sumber Yala Samudra, immediately reported to the Regent of Lingga, Alias Wello. Hopefully, in the near future, there will be a follow-up meeting on the action plan. Director of PT. Sumber Yala Samudra, David Wijaya said the canning and fish flour company, which he built since 47 years ago, requires raw materials of fresh fish about 300 tons per day, namely Lemuru fish. In the past, this fish is quite a lot in the Bali Strait. But, now it has started to disappear and must import from China, Japan, Oman, Yemen and Pakistan. As for product marketing, there is no problem. In fact, the company has not been able to meet market demand.
