Ten of RNI’s Sugar Factories Use Castor Oil as Alternative Fuel www.suarakarya.co.id (21-March-2006) PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (RNI) predicts that the usage of castor oil as a residual oil alternative in ten of its sugar factories will save more than Rp.43 billion. Every year, the company needs approximately 16 million litres of residual oil as fuel. For that reason, RNI co-operated with the government of the Sitobondo Regency and Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Islamic School to develop and manage castor-oil plant. In 2008, RNI targets for its sugar factories to replace the usage of residual oil with castor oil.
