MICE in Solo Grows, Business 'Event Organizer' is More Optimistic: http://semarang.bisnis.com/read/20171123/12/97021/mice-di-solo-tumbuh-bisnis-event-organizer-tambah-optimistis/23 November 2017

Solo's readiness as a city of Incentive Convention and Exhibition (MICE) is considered sufficient by a number of Professional Conference Organizer (PCO) and Professional Exhibition Organizer (PEO). CEO of PT Pundi Tata Prima, Wisnu Budi Sulaeman, said the development of Solo's readiness to support MICE is quite rapid compared to the last few years. Things that need to be prepared for the more interesting MICE event in Solo is the uniqueness offered because MICE participants, especially from abroad, tend to get experience of life in place of MICE event. The more advanced the economic and educational level of a country, the population tends to want a life experience than the goods. Another advantage that Solo has is the cost of accommodation that is more affordable than other big cities in Indonesia.

Chairman of the Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA) Solo and owner of Sinergi Event, Daryono, said MICE Mart 2017 is an MICE stakeholder effort in Solo to promote Solo from MICE sector. The stakeholders include Solo city government, INCCA Solo, PHRI, IHGMA, Garuda Indonesia, and a number of hotels. Factually, 80% of hotel revenues are still dominated by the MICE sector. Second, the leasure business still grows below 10%.
