China is considered to be a prospective market for the coal industry in Indonesia. As a player of that field, PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABMM) plans to target the country's bamboo curtain. China will increase its coal needs, because many in China are being built are the energy source of coal. This was stated by the Director of Finance of ABM Investama Adrian Erlangga in Jakarta, Friday (7/7/2017).
In percentages, the need for coal for energy supply will decline by 55% in the next 10 years. But in real terms, the world's energy needs continue to increase.
Demand for coal in the country itself is also still high, supported by the program 35 thousand mega watts of electricity by the government. The increase in coal demand is projected to increase 2-fold. Domestic coal needs 80 million tons per year. So, 160 million-170 million tons to 10 years.
